A Monthly news update from David Edgington who has been selling Alfa Romeo spares for over 40 years).
SEATS---complete
front seats are being manufactured again, finished in black
and grey, ideal for someone wishing return a GTA to original
condition. To many GTAs are spoilt by having the wrong seats.
ADJUSTABLE TOP SUSPENSION ARMS-we stock
the well known "Regina" arms used for many years on
competition cars. We also have competition top arm inner bushes.
GTAM competition arches----these replica
arches are used worldwide by GTA racers, the pattern is taken
from one of the many styles used by Autodelta. We still have
several pairs of ex-race shop experimental Autodelta arches
that were purchased by David Edgington in the grand sale following
the closure of Autodelta in the early 1980s.
GTA exhaust systems from IMSAF (Italy)
the only maker of original GTA systems still functioning. Competition
side outlet kits for track use also available. Beware of cheap
replica systems. Use IMSAF for performance, ease of fitting,
looks and originality.
CAMSHAFTS---there
can be so substitute for Colombo & Barriani one of the original
manufacturers under contract to Autodelta. Many of the old 'race
profiles' are manufactured again just for E.B.Spares Ltd. We
are in regular contact with this company and are supplied the
latest camshaft technology. Buy the best to start with in order
to avoid disappointment later.
SUSPENSION---our suspension components
have been developed and constructed by Rhoddy Harvey-Bailey
who drove for Autodelta in the 1960's and continues, to this
day, to carry out development work for leading motor manufactuers.
Working with Bilstein of Germany he has developed special damper
setting suitable for the Alfa Romeo Bertone range for road and
track. These dampers are only available through E.B.Spares (LINK
TO BILSTEN PAGE) and, in order to avoid false claims, each
one carries the name of E.B.SPARES.
HISTORY---David Edgington has been dealing
with GTA parts since the 1960s, he sold his first new GTA (displayed
in Rob Walkers Garage showroom) in 1966 and in 1967 supplied
parts, ordered direct from Italy, for an extensive rear end
damaged GTA crashed competing in a club event. We are no strangers
to Alfas especially the GTA !
