When Mr.Okabe purchased his 8th Alfa in 1994 it was in need of extensive bodywork thanks to the Japanese damp climate. Ten repair panels were required, followed by rubber seals, lights and grille, finally a complete re-spray completed the exterior. The interior was changed, the suspension rebuilt and the brakes improved. A set of Cromodora wheels were added to give a car a contemporary good. The next job will be overhauling the engine and gearbox.

Mr,Okabe's 9th Alfa, a 156, has just arrived to keep company with the GTV, one Alfa in the garage is never enough !

Our comment

Mr.Okabe spent a lot of time perfecting this GTV. We supplied a complete new black interior---door panels, seat covers etc. to replace the original beige. A HBE suspension kit and our special Bilstein dampers, plus a full re-bushing, transformed the handling. Stopping power came next, here we supplied a full set of drilled/grooved brake discs with Superalfa brake pads. In order to provide, a little more power, plus a more purposeful exhaust note we recently supplied a GTA exhaust system When it is finally finished this GTV will retain its contemporary appearance but will drive and handle like a present-day sports car.
